Search for Missing Man in Minnesota River in Chaska
CHASKA, Minn. — Rescue crews in Carver County continued searching the Minnesota River Thursday after a man disappeared Wednesday evening near the Highway 41 bridge in Chaska.
Authorities say the man entered the water near Winkel Park around 5 p.m.
Witnesses said the man entered the water on his own and began swimming and then became submerged and did not resurface.
Multiple agencies, including dive teams, drone operators, and the Minnesota State Patrol helicopter, joined the search effort.
Officials are asking the public to stay clear of the search area as recovery efforts continue.
