Semi Crash Leaves Dozens of Gallons of Diesel On I94
A Florida man faces charges after a semi he was driving jackknifed Tuesday on I94 near Casselton, dumping dozens of gallons of diesel fuel in the process.
According to the North Dakota Highway Patrol Scott Pettingill, (56) of Trinity, Florida has been charged with Driving Under Suspension, a log book violation, and care required after the westbound 2000 Peterbilt he was driving left the roadway just after 2pm. According to the report, an empty cattle trailer separated from the truck, resulting in around 100 gallons of diesel fuel being released into the north ditch of I94 near mile marker 331 in Cass County.
Pettingill suffered no apparent injury. Officials say road conditions were “slick due to rain”.
