Senator Klobuchar Visits Bushmills Ethanol in Atwater
(KWLM/Learfield News/Atwater, MN) — U.S. Senator Amy Klobuchar toured Bushmills Ethanol on Monday, highlighting the role of Minnesota-made biofuels in lowering gas prices and strengthening domestic energy production.
Klobuchar says Bushmills officials are happy President Trump signed an executive order allowing 15% ethanol-blend gasoline to be sold nationwide over the coming summer but says it should become part of permanent law:
Klobuchar joined leaders from the Minnesota Bio-Fuels Association and the ethanol industry to discuss how homegrown fuels support farmers, create jobs, and offer more affordable options at the pump.
Bushmills Ethanol, a farmer-owned cooperative in Atwater, produces ethanol, distillers’ grains, and corn oil while supporting agricultural markets statewide.
