SEVERAL AGENCIES SEARCH FOR, FIND MISSING TEEN NEAR HARKIN STORE
The Brown County Sheriff’s Office was one of several agencies who helped in finding a missing teen over the weekend. Authorities received a report of a missing 17-year-old in Home North Township near the State Highway 4 bridge over the Minnesota River Saturday night at 11:06 pm. A drone was used to search for the teen who was said to have mental health issues. Authorities did not find him. The Nicollet County Sheriff’s Office received a tip Sunday morning at 8 am of a teen walking about a mile east of the Harkin Store. Deputies responded and found him unharmed and took him home. Other agencies who responded included New Ulm and Sleepy Eye Police, along with the Sleepy Eye and Fairfax Fire Departments. Authorities sent a report to Brown County Human Services.
