Shane Eugene Ritzschke

Shane Ritzschke, age 53 of Morris, Minnesota, passed away Sunday, December 1, 2024.

Visitation for Shane Ritzschke will be held Friday, December 6, 2024, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the Pedersen Funeral Home in Morris, MN.

Prayer services for Shane Ritzschke will be at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, December 6, 2024, at the Pedersen Funeral Home in Morris, MN, with Reverend Michael Hansen officiating.

Burial will be held at a later date in Eden Reformed Cemetery in Herman, MN.

Shane Eugene Ritzschke was born on March 15, 1971 to Gerhardt and Renee Ritzschke in Fridley, MN and spent most of his youth in Herman. He graduated from Herman-Norcross High School in 1989 and then, joined the Minnesota Army National Guard. After his military service, Shane attended technical college, where he studied architecture.

Shane was a Christian and was baptized in Low Lake in Ely, MN on July 7, 2012. He enjoyed fishing, hunting with his father, and camping with his nephews. He also participated in football, track, wrestling, and band. Shane was a man of few words, but when he spoke, it was usually heartfelt and kind, always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. Shane never judged others and always had great advice. He had a way of adding humor to almost any situation. Shane enjoyed his time alone, but above all, he treasured spending time with his family and friends, cherishing the moments they shared together. His smiles and hugs will be greatly missed.

Shane is survived by his mother: Renee Boshay; sisters: Kelly (Dana) Kraft and Jodi Strand; and nephews: Carl (Sydney) Ritzschke, Landon Strand, and Levin Strand.

He was preceded in death by his father, Gerhardt Ritzschke.
