Shirley Mae Reinke

Shirley Mae Reinke, 84, of Shakopee, Minnesota, was born May 5th, 1942, in Belle Plaine Twp., Minnesota on the family farm. Shirley passed away suddenly on Monday, September 28th, 2026.

Shirley is survived by her two children, Diane (Paul) Hallgren, and David (Caroline Carritt) Reinke; grandchildren, Drew (Emily) Reinke, Justin (Sarah) Reinke, Dayton (Seth) Feider, Paul (Victoria) Hallgren, Thomas (Trisha) Hallgren, Matthew (Janet Kim) Latterner, Michael (Laina) Latterner, Jonathan (Dominique) Youkhepaz, and Andrew (Dalia Ahmed) Latterner, and 18 great-grandchildren and nephews Paul (Vicki) Ernst, David (Sharon) Ernst; Dean (Cheryl Bradshaw) Reinke.

Shirley was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Eldon, who passed away on January 21, 2012; her parents, Elmer and Elsie (Ruehling) Ernst; brother, Arvin, and sister-in-law, Shirley Ernst; niece, Mary Ernst; and brother-in-law, LeRoy, and sister-in-law, Elisabeth Reinke.

A Christian Funeral Service will be held in honor of Shirley on Saturday, October 3, 2026, with the service beginning at 11 AM at Mount Olive Evangelical Lutheran Church, 12700 Marystown Rd, Shakopee, MN. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. A Luncheon Reception will follow the service, and then the burial will be held at Oakwood Cemetery, Belle Plaine, MN.
