Side-by-Side Driver Injured in Renville County Crash

Renville County, MN – A rural Bird Island man was seriously injured in a two-vehicle crash on Saturday afternoon in Renville County about two miles northwest of Bird Island.

The Sheriff’s Office says 65-year-old Paul Marxen was taken to Olivia Hospital for treatment.

A water truck, driven by 55-year-old Matthew Tucker of North Branch, was traveling northbound on County Road 3. Marxen was driving a side-by-side westbound on 830th Avenue when the collision occurred just after 2pm.

Tucker was not injured.
