Six Injured In HWY 59 Crash

Six people were injured in a two-vehicle accident Sunday south of Mahnomen. 

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, 30 year old Allissa Grace Warren was injured when the northbound 1999 Chevrolet Silverado she was driving collided with a southbound 2024 Buick driven by 37 year old Reyna Cruz Gonzalez Rivera, of Redby. 

Authorities say Highway 59 was snow and ice covered at milepost 293 in Popple Grove Township where the collision took place just after 7 p.m.. 

The drivers, three passengers in the pick-up, and one passenger in the Buick were all transported to hospitals in Mahnomen, Detroit Lakes and Fargo for injuries troopers at the scene described as non-life threatening. 

Officials say alcohol was not a factor in the crash.
