Softball/Baseball Playoffs Continue

Section Championships for softball are set for Thursday, meanwhile, baseball moves into the third round of playoff action.

2AAA;

New Ulm Eagle softball team was no hit on Tuesday, but used a walk, stolen base, sacrifice bunt and a squeeze to score a 1 to 0 win over Marshall. The Eagles play Mankato East on Thursday.

2A:

USC picks up a pair of wins over Springfield 1 to 0 and Martin County West 3 to 1, to take on Cathedral on Thursday.

3A;

Wabasso wins two Tuesday, 11 to 4 over LQPV and Edgerton/SWC 10 to 4 to play for a Section championship Thursday against RTR.

2AA:

Belle Plaine defeats Jordan 10 to 0 to move to the Section Finals Thursday versus LCWM.

 

Baseball playoffs:

2A;

Springfield was an 11 to 4 winner of MVL, Loyola sends Cathedral to the losers bracket with an 8 to 7 win. Madelia upsets the three seed Sleepy Eye 7 to 0. SE/St Mary’s shuts out GHECML/Tru 7 to 0.

2AA:

Lesueur/Henderson was a 6 to 0 winner over Blue Earth. Maple River defeated Sibley East 8 to 4. LCWM edges Tri City United 3 to 2. Belle plaine was an 11 to 1 winner over Waseca.

2AAA

New Ulm heads to Marshall to take on the Tigers this evening. First pitch is at 6pm, catch all the action on KNUJ.
