South Dakota Groups Receive Veteran Suicide-Prevention Grants
Three South Dakota community organizations are receiving nearly $875,000 to help prevent veteran suicide.
The Department of Veterans Affairs awarded the grants through the Staff Sergeant Parker Gordon Fox Suicide Prevention Grant Program.
The funding supports community groups that can reach veterans, including those who are not already connected to VA care. It becomes available at the start of the new federal fiscal year.
Veterans and their loved ones can reach the Veterans Crisis Line by calling 988 and pressing one.
