South Dakota is expanding artificial-intelligence education at two state universities.
The Board of Regents has approved a doctoral program in A-I at Dakota State University. South Dakota State University will add bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral programs in artificial-intelligence engineering beginning this fall.
The programs will combine computer science, mathematics and engineering while preparing students to use A-I in areas including precision agriculture, manufacturing and power systems.
Regents say the expansion will support research and help meet growing workforce demand for A-I expertise. South Dakota Board of Regents, South Dakota State University
