St. Cloud Man Sentenced in Renville County Burglary/Theft

A St. Cloud man has been sentenced to 59 days in jail after pleading guilty to possession of stolen property following an investigation into a burglary at Haney’s Construction in Olivia last year.

At his sentencing hearing, the Renville County Attorney’s Office says 23-year-old Brandon Jerry Voigt stated he knew the items were stolen because he was told.

The victim had reported that over $10,000 worth of property was stolen from his business in the early morning hours of August 4. Later that day, an Olivia Police Officer spotted a vehicle matching the description from video surveillance. A traffic stop was initiated and a search warrant executed on Voigt’s vehicle resulted in the recovery of all the stolen property.
