St. Cloud Preps for Trump Presidential Campaign Rally
(Learfield News/St. Cloud, MN) — St. Cloud will be thrust into the national political spotlight Saturday when former President Donald Trump and vice presidential running mate J.D. Vance come to Minnesota.
Mayor David Kleis says security will be a coordinated effort among several law enforcement agencies, and the city will be billing the Trump campaign for the added expenses.
He says his office did not have a lot of advance notice before Tuesday’s announcement about the rally at the Herb Brooks National Hockey Center.
The mayor expects the Secret Service to temporarily closed many roads in the area.
