START DATE SET FOR GEORGE’S BALLROOM DEMOLITION

The New Ulm City Council held a special meeting Wednesday to discuss the demolition of George’s Ballroom.  The Brown County Board of Commissioners authorized the demolition of George’s in September after the building was deemed a safety hazard.  The demolition is part of a redevelopment plan by Coldwell Banker Commercial Fisher Group of Mankato to create a new multi-residential building and commercial retail space on the site.  Demolition is scheduled to start December 2.
