State Baseball Semi’s Today

The Minnesota State Baseball Tournament moves to semi-final action today in 4 locations.

Class A is being played at Joe Faber Field:

10:30am-Parkers Prairie shuts out Heritage Christian Academy, 3 to 0.

1pm-Sacred Heart defeats Lyle-Pacelli, 7 to 5.

Semi’s-Parkers Prairie deefeats Sacred Heart 7 to 1 to advance to the finals on Monday at 10am.

3:30pm-The one seed, Cherry defeats LQPV, 6 to 3.

6pm-Springfield rode the arm and bat of Jakob Nachreiner to defeat New York Mills 4 to 0. Nachreiner tossed a one hitter, struck out 14 and had one walk, plus, he had 3 hits.

Semi’s-The Tigers defeated Cherry, 4 to 2 to advance to the championship game, Monday 10am at Target field. Catch all the action on KNUJ.

 

Class AA is being played at Dick Putz Field:

10am-Rockford holds off Blake, 2 to 1.

12:30pm-Lesueur/Henderson sends the three seed into consolation. The Giants beat Perham, 9 to 1.

Semi’s-Rockford defeated Lesueur?Henderson 7 to 3 to advance to the final game at 10am on Monday.

3pm-The top seed, Esko, defeated Montevideo 3 to 2.

5;30pm-The four seed, Foley edges Zumbrota/Mazeppa 6 to 5. Foley will take on Esko at 1:30pm for a chance to go to Target Field.

 

Class AAA is being played at Chaska Athletic Park:

10am-Grand Rapids knocked  the two seed into Consolation, beating Mankato East 4 to 3.

12:30pm-Mahtomedi defeated Northfield 8 to 1.

Semi’s-The Zephyrs defeated Grand Rapids, 5 to 3 to advance to the championship at 4:30pm on Monday.

3pm-The top seed, Benilde/St Margaret’s, sneaks by St Thomas Academy 6 to 5. Benilde/St Margaret’s will now play Totino-Grace. Totino-Grace was a 4 to 0 winner over Little Falls. That semi-final will be at 2:30pm
