State High School FB Semi-finals

State Football semi-finals results from Thursday at US Bank Stadium:

The 4-A final from Thursday morning, Becker scores a couple of touchdowns in the 2nd and 3rd quarters to defeat Marshall 28 to 7. Becker moves to the finals next Friday.

Nine man semi’s-Hills/beaver creek holds off Mountain Iron/Buhl 26 to 20 to advance to the championship to face Fertile/Beltrami. The Falcons score the last 4 touchdowns of the game to defeat Leroy/Ostrander/Lyle/Pacelli 60 to 33.  Championship game is Next Saturday at 10am.

MIAC Volleyball Playoffs, Semi-finals took place Thursday night. Upset, St Benedict wins the first set 32 to 30, on their way to a straight set win over the number one seed, Gustavus. This is the first loss to a conference opponent  for the Gusties since September 2021. St Ben’s will head to St Paul to take on St Catherine in the championship, Saturday night at 7pm. St Cate’s is heading to their first appearance in the MIAC Championship match, with a 3 to 2 win over Bethel.
