Stearns Co Death Investigation

Stearns County authorities are investigating the death of a man they say jumped from Veterans Bridge in St. Cloud Friday whose body was later found in 14 feet of water.

At about noon, authorities responded and a St. Cloud Police Officer confirmed someone was floating south on the surface of the water before losing sight of him.

A search began and at just before 3:30pm, a dive team located the man, later identified as 56-year-old Douglas Ingram of Faribault.

Area surveillance video captured Ingram approaching the bridge on foot. The Sheriff’s Office says another camera in the area shows him falling into the river a short time later.

The investigation continues.
