Study Finds Cancer Patients Report Improvement With Medical Cannabis
A Minnesota study found that thousands of cancer patients reported improvement in several symptoms after enrolling in the state’s medical-cannabis program.
Researchers examined information from 6,621 patients enrolled between July 2015 and December 2023. Patients reported improvements involving vomiting, nausea, appetite loss, anxiety, depression and pain.
The findings are based on observational data and patient self-evaluations. They show an association but do not establish that cannabis caused the improvements. Minnesota Office of Cannabis Management
