Suspect Arrested After Threatened Assault

A suspect was arrested Sunday evening after allegedly threatening someone with a firearm in Maynard.

The Chippewa County Sheriff’s Office says at about 4:40pm they received a report that a vehicle drove by a residence on Cynthia Street and the driver, who was known to the victim, brandished a firearm in his direction.

Authorities say the 45-year-old suspect was arrested later Sunday evening at Prairie’s Edge Casino and taken to jail with charges pending.
