Suspect Sought in High-speed Chase

Authorities are looking for the driver involved in a high-speed chase in Kandiyohi County Sunday after the suspect eluded officers.

At abut 2:00am Sunday, a Kandiyohi County sheriff’s deputy attempted to stop a motor vehicle that was traveling at a high rate of speed on Kandiyohi County Road 26 (60th Ave) NE in Green Lake Township. The deputy had a speed reading of 87mph in a 55mph zone.

The deputy caught up to the vehicle at 71st St NE and 60th Ave NE but the suspect shut off the vehicles lights while turning Northbound on 71st St NE and did not stop.

The truck was observed to be driving from ditch to ditch. Deputies pursued the vehicle with speeds in excess of 90mph until deputies lost sight of the vehicle and set up a perimeter.

A short time later, the vehicle was located unoccupied at an address on 60th Ave NE, however, the occupants of the vehicle were not located.
