Teen Injured in Willmar Drive-by Shooting

A 16-year-old was injured in a drive-by shooting in Willmar Sunday night.

At about 10:40pm, police were dispatched to the 700 block of 4th St SE on the report of gunshots.

Officers arrived and were informed that the victim had been taken to the hospital by private vehicle with a reported injury from the drive-by shooting.

Authorities learned the victim had an injury to his leg as a result of the shooting and was treated and released later that evening.

Officers on scene found that the home and a vehicle in front of the home sustained damage from numerous gunshots.

Police say evidence was recovered from the scene and the investigation continues.
