Teen With Knife Arrested After Threatening Boy in Carver Co

A 14-year-old girl was arrested Friday night at a residence in Chanhasssen after attempting to attack at 15-year-old boy with a knife.

The Carver County Sheriff says authorities responded to a call of two teens fighting at a residence at about 7:30pm.

Deputies responding to the scene were told a 14-year-old female had a knife, and was chasing the boy, while threatening to stab him.

When they arrived, deputies found the female at the top of a stairway, who then barricaded herself inside a room after seeing them. The boy had previously locked himself inside another room for safety.

After negotiations failed, deputies “saturated the bedroom” with pepper balls and the suspect was taken into custody.

A knife was recovered at the scene.
