The Oak Ridge Boys announce ‘Buried Treasures,’ due Oct. 30

The Oak Ridge Boys say their new album, Buried Treasures, will be released Oct. 30 through Lightning Rod Records.

The group says the title track, “Buried Treasure,” is out now and is the only newly written song on the 10-song album. Pre-orders are also open.

According to the release, the album was produced and engineered by Anderson East and executive produced by Dave Cobb. It was recorded at Sanctuary Blonde Studio in Nashville.

The track list includes songs made famous by Simon & Garfunkel, Bill Withers, Louis Armstrong and others, along with gospel standards such as “Deep River,” “How Great Thou Art” and “Softly and Tenderly.”

Duane Allen says the songs are “buried treasures” the group has loved and sung for years. William Lee Golden says the album reflects the group’s love of life, family, their mates and God.

The release says songwriter Aaron Raitiere wrote “Buried Treasure” for the project, and the fall rollout continues Oct. 2 with “How Great Thou Art,” followed by the Oct. 30 street date and an official video for “Live Forever.”

The Oak Ridge Boys are members of the Country Music Hall of Fame and the Grand Ole Opry, and the release says Ben James is on his second album with the group. It also says Tim Duncan carries many of the bass vocal parts on the record.

The album is available on CD, as a deluxe gold vinyl LP and on digital services.
