Third-Seeded Black Claims Morris Babe Ruth Championship

The third-seeded Black team defeated top-seeded Orange 9–4 to capture the Morris Babe Ruth baseball championship. Black finished with nine runs on nine hits and committed two errors, while Orange recorded four runs on seven hits with three errors.

Landon Cihak earned the victory for Black after pitching six innings. He allowed four runs on four hits and struck out 14 batters. Henry Haseman handled the seventh inning, allowing three hits but no runs while striking out two.

Cooper Ver Steeg started for Orange and worked five and one-third innings, allowing five runs—three earned—on three hits. He issued no walks and struck out two.

Jake Christensen led Black offensively with three hits and two runs scored. Cameron Ferrian added a hit and scored three times, while Macen Koehler collected two hits and scored once. Haseman recorded a hit and a run, and Landon Pope also had a hit. Benji Itzen and Jace Asmus each went two-for-three and scored twice for Orange.

Black completed its championship season with a 6–4 record. Orange finished 6–3–1. KMRS provided live coverage of the championship game.
