THREE HURT IN FOUR-VEHICLE CRASH IN MANKATO, ONE IN CUSTODY

Three people were hurt in a crash involving four vehicles Tuesday afternoon in Mankato.  The state patrol says they were called shortly before 6 pm to Highway 14 and Riverfront Drive.  Authorities say a Ford Edge driven by 43-year-old Brandon Michael Hall of Shakopee was being pursued by law enforcement due to a number of outstanding warrants.  Hall rear-ended a Ford Fusion driven by 47-year-old Daniel Hendley of Mankato which then collided with a Mankato Police squad vehicle driven by 25-year-old Maxwell Strong of New Brighton.  An additional Mankato squad was involved when it hit a catalytic converter that had fallen off one of the other vehicles.  One of the vehicles caught fire.  Strong, Hendley and Hall were all taken to MCHS in Mankato with non-life threatening injuries.  Hall was eventually taken into custody and is being held in the Blue Earth County jail.  He has an extensive criminal history.  Mankato Police and Fire, the Blue Earth County Sheriff’s assisted at the scene.
