Three Injured in Stearns Co Head-On Crash
Three people were injured in a head-on crash in Stearns County Friday evening, east of Melrose.
The Sheriff’s Office says the crash happened just east of the intersection of County Road 65 and 325th Street just after 5:30pm.
The driver of one of the vehicles, 45-year-old Tyler Alm of Alexandria, injured his arm.
The driver of the other vehicle, 26-year-old Zachary Cole of Sleepy Eye, suffered unknown injuries and was taken to Melrose Hospital for treatment. His passenger, a 3-year-old from Melrose, suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries and was also taken to Melrose Hospital for treatment.
The Sheriff’s Office says Alm was traveling westbound on County Road 65 when a tire blew. Alm said he turned his head back to investigate what happened and in the process crossed the center line and hit the oncoming vehicle driven by Cole.
