Thunderstorm Chances Return Across Minnesota

Three-Day Minnesota Forecast

Minnesota will enjoy a mostly pleasant Wednesday before thunderstorm chances increase across much of the state Thursday and Friday.

Northern Minnesota

Wednesday will be mostly sunny and comfortable, with highs generally in the middle to upper 70s.

Thursday will be cooler, with highs mainly in the lower 70s. An isolated afternoon thunderstorm is possible, especially across northeastern Minnesota.

Scattered thunderstorms remain possible Friday. Highs will return to the middle and upper 70s, with overnight temperatures cooling into the upper 40s and 50s.

Central Minnesota

Wednesday will bring sunshine mixed with a few clouds and highs from the upper 70s to around 80 degrees.

Temperatures climb into the lower and middle 80s Thursday. Afternoon thunderstorms may produce gusty winds, hail and locally heavy rainfall.

Friday will remain warm, with highs near 80 to the lower 80s. Additional scattered thunderstorms are possible during the day.

Southern Minnesota

Most of southern Minnesota will reach the upper 70s Wednesday. An isolated afternoon thunderstorm is possible across southwestern areas.

Thursday will be warmer, with highs climbing into the lower and middle 80s. Scattered afternoon thunderstorms could bring strong wind gusts, hail and heavy rainfall.

Friday will stay humid and warm, with highs ranging from the upper 70s in southeastern Minnesota to the middle 80s in the southwest. Another round of afternoon thunderstorms will be possible.
