Tiger Softball Opens With A Win

West Central Conference softball started Thursday in Sauk Centre with Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta Tigers defeated Sauk Centre Mainstreeters 11-3.

Tigers opened with 5 runs in the first inning and never looked back. Tiger’s catcher Cate Kehoe had 3 hits, 3 RBIs, and scored; second baseman: Lauren Hottovy had 3 hits and scored; shortstop: Brianna Marty had 1 hit, 3 RBIs, and scored 3 times; Pitcher: Haley Kill had 2 hits, 1 RBI, and scored 3 times. Both Kehoe and Marty homered.

Tiger pitcher Haley Kill threw all 7 innings, struck out 11 hitters, walked one, and gave up 5 hits.
