Tigers Take Two

Girls softball doubleheader on Wednesday, May 8th Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta pitcher Haley Kill struck out Minnewaska hitters in the bottom of the 5th inning on nine pitches. Tigers defeated the Lakers 13-1 in five innings. The Tigers second baseman Lauren Hottovy went 3 for 4 had 2RBIs and scored three times. Brianna Marty the Tigers shortstop had a home run in the second inning she went 2 for 4 with 3RBIs and scored twice. Haley Kill pitched all five innings striking out ten, walk none, and gave up two hits. One of the hits was a home run for Laker Allison Mogard.

 

Softball game number two had the Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta Tigers pound out fifteen hits for an 18-0 over Minnewaska Lakers in four innings. It was Lauren Hottovy again leading the way going went 3 for 4, had 4RBIs, and scored four times.  Third baseman Kaylin Steen went 2 for 2, had 4RBIs, scored three times, and had a walk. Picking up the win for the Tigers Nora Boyle went four innings striking out four, walk one, and gave up two hits.

Today: Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta @ B.O.L.D. First game 4:00 p.m. second game at 5:30 p.m. Tigers 15-1 overall, 11-0 in conference; BOLD 9-2 overall, 7-2 in conference.
