Timberwolves Dominate Nuggets for Sixth Straight Win

DENVER, CO – Anthony Edwards scored 29 points, while Julius Randle added 25 as the Minnesota Timberwolves cruised to a 115-95 victory over the Denver Nuggets on Wednesday night, extending their winning streak to six games.

Rudy Gobert contributed a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds, helping Minnesota improve to 3-0 against Denver this season. The two teams will meet for the final time on April 1 in Denver.

Minnesota’s bench also played a key role, outscoring Denver’s reserves 26-14, with Donte DiVincenzo chipping in 10 points.

Despite a strong effort from Nikola Jokić, who led Denver with 34 points and eight rebounds, the Nuggets struggled to keep pace. Jokić and the rest of the Denver starters were pulled with 5:05 left in the game as Minnesota held a commanding 109-84 lead.

Jokić provided one of Denver’s few highlights with a coast-to-coast dunk in the first half. Meanwhile, Jamal Murray had a rough night, going 0-for-7 in the first half and finishing with just 12 points on 4-of-15 shooting.

Minnesota’s defense was dominant, holding Denver below its usual production in key areas. The Nuggets finished with just 20 assists, 18 fast-break points, and 52 points in the paint—well below their league-leading averages.

Coming off a 140-point performance on 60.5% shooting in Monday’s win over Oklahoma City, Denver never found its rhythm, shooting just 40.4% from the field and failing to hold a lead at any point in the game.

Nuggets coach Michael Malone tried everything to spark his team in the first half, using timeouts, challenging a play, and even picking up a technical foul. But Minnesota still took a 14-point lead into halftime and never looked back.

The Timberwolves’ six-game winning streak is their longest of the season.
