TRUCK GOES THROUGH ICE ON LAKE CRYSTAL LAKE

Blue Earth County authorities are reporting a pickup going through the ice on Lake Crystal Thursday evening.  Deputies were called around 9:49 pm to find the vehicle fully submerged in about eight feet of water.  The only occupant 25-year-old Spencer James Peterson of Lake Crystal wasn’t hurt.  The sheriff’s office is trying to determine how to get the vehicle out of the lake.  Authorities remind you to be extremely careful on ice, especially this time of year with as warm as it’s been as ice thickness varies from place to place.
