TRUMAN MAN PLEADS GUILTY IN SHOOTING LAST YEAR
A Truman man has plead guilty to shooting a woman last year. 33-year-old Kyle Liford was been charged with six felonies including second-degree attempted murder and first-degree assault among other charges. Court documents say Liford shot Ciara Gaston in the chest during a domestic dispute in February 2025 in Truman. Liford’s jury trial was scheduled to start Wednesday but he accepted a plea deal and plead guilty to second-degree assault with a deadly weapon. His sentencing is scheduled for May 8.
