Trump to Address Joint Session of Congress/MN Invited Guests

President Trump heads to Capitol Hill tonight (Tuesday) to address a Joint Session of Congress.

The President is expected to recap what his administration has done so far to start his second term and what he plans to do next.

Senator Klobuchar says Minnesota Farmers’ Union President Gary Wertish of Renville County will join her in the U.S. House Chamber for President Trump’s speech tonight.

Senator Tina Smith has invited Voyageur’s National Park Ranger Kate Severson from Minnesota. Severson is one of more than a thousand National Park Service employees terminated by the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE).

Congressman Tom Emmer is inviting House Speaker Lisa Demuth and two members of the 1980 ‘Miracle on Ice’ hockey team to President Trump’s joint address to Congress. Emmer says Team USA Olympic gold medalists Buzz Schneider and Rob McClanahan will be joining him tonight along with Demuth.
