Twins beat Blue Jays 7-1

(Minneapolis, MN/Learfield News) — The Minnesota Twins opened their four-game series against the Toronto Blue Jays with a 7-1 win at Target Field last night. Ryan Jeffers hit a two-run home run in the bottom of the fourth inning to put Minnesota up for good. Byron Buxton also went deep, while Bailey Ober earned his third win after holding Toronto to one run on four hits in six innings. The Twins improved to 14-18. Simeon Woods Richardson starts for Minnesota against Toronto tonight at 6:40 P-M.
