Twins beat Royals
(Minneapolis, MN) — The Minnesota Twins stayed hot with a 4-2 win over the Kansas City Royals at Target Field last night. Jose Miranda got the scoring going with a two-run single in the bottom of the first inning before Manuel Margot made it 3-0 with an R-B-I in the fourth inning. The Royals got to within a run when they scored twice in the fifth, but Edouard Julien gave Minnesota an insurance run with an R-B-I single in the eighth. Simeon Woods Richardson earned his second win of the season after giving up two runs on three hits in five innings, and Jhoan Duran picked up his eighth save. The Twins have won six of seven and are 30-24 on the year. Cole Ragans was charged with his fourth loss after allowing three runs on nine hits in five innings. The 34-22 Royals have lost their last three games. Game three of the four-game series is tonight in Minneapolis.
