Twins blow 9th inning lead
(Minneapolis, MN/Learfield News) — The Minnesota Twins fell apart late during a 5-3 loss to the Seattle Mariners at Target Field yesterday afternoon. The Twins led by one entering the ninth inning before Eric Orze surrendered three runs to get tagged with his first loss in relief. Brooks Lee drove in two runs during the losing effort. Minnesota dropped to 13-18 and dropped into fourth-place in the A-L Central. The M’s improved to 16-16 and are a game out of first in the A-L West. Twins starter Taj Bradley worked seven innings of four-hit, two-run ball and got a no-decision. He threw 114 pitches. Bailey Ober starts for the Twins against the Blue Jays tonight.
