Twins Crush Tigers 11-1 as Jenkins Hits First MLB Homer

The Minnesota Twins opened their series against Detroit with an 11-to-1 rout Monday night at Target Field.

Ryan Jeffers homered twice and drove in four runs. His three-run shot in the fifth inning gave Minnesota a five-run lead.

Top prospect Walker Jenkins added his first major-league home run—a two-run shot off the right-field foul pole in the eighth. It was not his first M-L-B hit, as initially reported.

Taj Bradley improved to 10-and-6 after allowing one run on four hits over seven innings. He struck out nine.

Kody Clemens also homered as the Twins won their second straight game and improved to 66-and-72. Minnesota Twins
