Twins edge the Rangers
(Arlington, TX) – A three-run homer from Carlos Santana and a solo homer from Ryan Jeffers powered the Minnesota Twins past Texas Rangers on Friday night, 4-3. Jeffers hit a homer in the third inning to tie it, and Santana’s homer in the fifth broke the tie. Starter Simeon Woods Richardson picks up the win with five innings pitched. He gave up two runs on three hits, two walks and one strikeout. Jhoan Duran picks up his 18th save of the season. Minnesota has won the first two games in this four-game series in Texas. Game three is tonight at 6:05. Cleveland lost last night, so Minnesota moves to within three games of the Guardians in the A-L Central.
