Twins Fall 11-6 to Tigers in 12-Inning Thriller

The Minnesota Twins rallied from four runs down but lost to the Detroit Tigers 11-to-6 in 12 innings Wednesday night.

Minnesota trailed 5-to-1 before scoring once in the sixth and three times in the eighth. Royce Lewis delivered a two-run single to tie the game.

Both teams scored in the 11th before Detroit broke it open with five runs in the 12th. Spencer Torkelson hit a two-run homer, and Javier Báez added a bases-clearing double.

The Twins finished 4-for-21 with runners in scoring position and stranded 13 runners.

Minnesota falls to 67-and-73 but remains three-and-a-half games behind Cleveland for the final American League wild-card spot. The Twins open a six-game road trip Friday against the White Sox. Minnesota Twins
