Twins Fall In The 9th
The Minnesota Twins fell apart in the top of the ninth during a 4-3 loss to the White Sox at Target Field. The Twins led 3-1 entering the inning before reliever Justin Topa surrendered three runs to get charged with the loss in relief. Twins manager Rocco Baldelli says this is a tough loss to swallow.
Royce Lewis had three hits and one R-B-I in the losing effort. Minnesota is in fourth place in the AL Central at 62-77. Michael A. Taylor hit a two-run, go-ahead double in the inning to put Chicago up for good. Edgar Quero (KARE-oh) hit his fifth home run in the victory, while Grant Taylor picked up his first win in relief. The Sox are in last place in the A-L Central at 52-88. Taj Bradley starts for the Twins against Chicago tonight hoping to salvage the final game of the four-game set. First pitch tonight is 6:40 P-M.
