Twins Get Win Over White Sox

(Minnesota News Network- Minneapolis, MN) — Twins starter Bailey Ober worked six strong innings and the bullpen was good as the Minnesota Twins beat the Chicago White Sox 4-2 at Target Field last night. Ober earned his second win of the year after striking out six Chicago hitters over six frames of one-run ball. Trevor Larnach homered in the victory as the Twins snapped a three-game losing streak and moved to 8-15 on the year. Jhoan Duran worked out of a ninth inning jam to earn the save, getting a diving catch in centerfield from Byron Buxton to end the game. Chicago starter Davis Martin was charged with his third loss after giving up two unearned runs on three hits in five innings. The Southsiders have dropped eight of nine and dipped to 5-18. Game two of the three-game series is tonight at 6:40 P-M.
