Twins lose 4th straight
(Minneapolis, MN) — The Los Angeles Angels handed the Minnesota Twins their fourth loss in a row with a 6-2 victory at Target Field. Brandon Drury and Niko Kavadas both hit two-run home runs in the L-A victory, while Nolan Schanuel also drove home two runs. Reid Detmers earned his fourth win after striking out eight and holding Minnesota to two runs on five hits in six innings. Jose Suarez picked up his first save. The 60-84 Angels snapped a two-game losing streak. Kyle Farmer homered in the losing effort for Minnesota, while David Festa was charged with his sixth loss after allowing four runs on four hits in four innings. The Twins still have a three-game lead for the last A-L Wild Card spot with a 76-68 record, but are now six-games out of first-place in the A-L Central. Game two of the three-game series is tonight in Minneapolis.
