Twins lose home opener
(Minneapolis, MN) — The Minnesota Twins scored twice in the first inning and then cooled off in a 5-2 loss to the Houston Astros in team’s 2025 home opener at Target Field. Carlos Correa and Trevor Larnach each drove in a run in the bottom of the first inning to give the Twins an early 2-0 lead before they gave up five unanswered runs. Minnesota starting and losing pitcher Joe Ryan allowed four runs on five hits in five innings. The 2-5 Twins are off today and will send Bailey Ober to the mound against Houston tomorrow at 1:10 P-M.
