Twins Open Series At Home With Tigers

(Minnesota News Network- Minneapolis, MN) — The Minnesota Twins start a seven-game homestand tonight when the first-place Detroit Tigers come to town for a four-game series. Minnesota beat the Yankees last night in New York 4-1, getting a stellar pitching performance from Joe Ryan, who won his 12th game of the season. The Twins are 57-63 on the season. The Tigers are 70-52 on the season after beating the Chicago White Sox yesterday 1-0. Minnesota will start right-hander Bailey Ober tonight. He is 4-7 this year with a 5.16 earned run average. He will face the reigning American League Cy Young Award winner Tarik Skubal, who is 11-3 on the season with a 2.35 E-R-A. First pitch tonight is 6:40 P-M.
