Twins open up final homestand of the year
(Minneapolis, MN) — The Minnesota Twins are down to the final six games of the regular season and it appears they’re going to need every one of them to scramble back into playoff position. This past weekend they dropped two of three against the Red Sox in Boston including both games of a doubleheader on Sunday. The leaves Minnesota with an 81-75 record and a game back of both the Royals and Tigers for a Wild Card berth in the American League. All of their final six games will be at Target Field against first the Marlins and the final series of the season will be against the Orioles. Tonight it’s Bailey Ober on the mound for a 6:40 P-M first pitch. The Twins have lost 11 of their last 16.
