Twins set to hire former St Paul Saints hitting coach

(Minneapolis, MN) — The Minnesota Twins have found their next hitting coach. The team hired Orioles hitting coach Matt Borgschulte to fill the position in Minnesota yesterday. Borgschulte takes over for Dave Popkins, who was fired at the end of the 2024 season. The 33-year-old coached in the Twins minor league system between 2018 and 2021 before joining the O’s prior to the 2022 season. He was the hitting coach of the St. Paul Saints in 2021.
