Twins Shut Out Tigers

(Detroit, MI) — Twins right-hander Bailey Ober put together a masterful performance as Minnesota beat the Detroit Tigers 5-0 yesterday at Comerica Park in Motown. Ober earned his tenth win by striking out 11 and holding Detroit to just one hit over eight scoreless innings. Matt Wallner and Austin Martin both had R-B-I doubles in the victory. The Twins have won three of four to improve to 58-46 on the season, still trailing Cleveland by four-and-a-half-games in the A-L Central Division. Alex Faedo was charged with his second loss after allowing a run on two hits in one inning. The Tigers dropped two of three in the series and sit at 52-55. The Twins visit the Mets in New York tonight at 6:10 P-M.
