Twins sign Ynoa
(Minneapolis, MN) — The Minnesota Twins are bringing back a former prospect. The team signed starting pitcher Huascar Ynoa to a minor league contract yesterday. The deal includes an invite to Spring Training in a few months. Ynoa began his career in the Twins organization, but he was traded to the Braves for Jaime Garcia in 2017. After a strong 2021 season with the Braves, Ynoa dealt with a variety of injuries. He hasn’t pitched in the M-L-B since 2022, and he was 1-4 with a 6.37 earned run average in 29-and-two-thirds innings in the minors last season. In other club news, the Twins received the number-16 pick in the 2025 M-L-B Draft lottery yesterday.
