Twins Snap Losing Skid
he Twins beat Toronto on Friday night, 2-0 at Target Field behind a solid outing from starter Pablo Lopez. Lopez pitched seven-and-two-thirds ( 7 ⅔) innings, giving up no runs on six hits, no walks and three strikeouts. Lopez has now thrown 20 ⅔ consecutive scoreless innings. Griffin Jax and Jhoan Duran completed the shutout, with Duran pitching around a leadoff walk to pick up his 19th save. The Twins scored both of their runs in the fifth on an R-B-I single by Carlos Santana, and a sacrifice fly by Willi Castro. The Twins stop a four-game losing streak by taking game one of this three-game series with the Blue Jays. Game two is tonight at 6:10, and the series wraps up tomorrow at 1:10.
