Twins snap losing skid

(Minneapolis, MN) — The Minnesota Twins hit three home runs during a 10-5 win over the Los Angeles Angels at Target Field. The Twins’ victory snapped a four-game skid and pushed them to 77-68 on the season, still six-game behind Cleveland in the A-L Central. The Twins hold a three-game lead over Detroit for the final A-L Wild Card spot. Kyle Farmer, Matt Wallner, and Carlos Santana all went deep in the victory. Pablo Lopez earned his 15th win after striking out ten and giving up four unearned runs in seven innings. Zach Neto homered in the losing effort, and Griffin Canning was charged with his 13th loss after surrendering nine earned runs and one unearned run on nine hits in five-and-two-thirds innings. The Angels were officially eliminated from playoff contention with the loss. Game three of the three-game series is tonight in Minneapolis.
